“I have never felt “pretty”. I have always been “the chubby friend”. I avoided mirrors at all costs and was never comfortable in my own skin. I can’t even believe I actually booked the session with Tara, but I am so glad I did. It sounds silly to say it changed my life, but I can honestly say that after 36 years of never seeing myself as anything but unattractive, I walked out of there feeling beautiful. When I saw my photos I couldn’t believe that was me! Tara had to swear up and down that she didn’t photoshop me and it was the REAL me! It was the prettiest me I had ever seen and I am so grateful I got to experience it all. The entire process was so easy and I felt a connection to everyone right away. They never made me feel like I didn’t belong there doing this for myself and that was the most important thing to me, that I felt comfortable and not ridiculous being there.
